A ten-metre tree built from the things we have taken into our identity: windows, mirrors, lights, smoke and lasers. An octagon scaled from floor to ceiling — symmetry holds its posture, asymmetry gives it character, and no two angles read alike.

Lidar sensors watched the room. What people did became sound, and sound became light, so the piece was played by the crowd and no two moments repeated. For the live shows it took timecode instead. Two structures — a flown canopy and a ground-supported trunk — inside a century-old glass factory.

A digital homage to Bengaluru’s legendary Dodda Alada Mara, it felt almost extraterrestrial, its aerial roots subtly reacting to the people moving around it. Rolling Stone India
